I am not sure why the place is named as such, but I can imagine eating their food three times a day and still feel quite satisfied. While the place is packed on a Sunday lunch time, the service is fast. The environment is also quite cozy for catchup over delectable Korean food.
I had a delightful experience at this Korean restaurant. The service was not only prompt but also exceptionally friendly, enhancing the overall dining atmosphere.
While the pork belly was slightly on the hard side, the bulogi meats might be a better choice for those who prefer a more tender texture.
The spicy tofu soup, packed with tofu, cucumber and onions, was flavorful, though the meat cube could be more tender.
The seafood pancake, akin to a Korean pizza, was enjoyable but it could benefit from an upgrade with additional ingredients for a more diverse flavor profile.
Overall, a great dining spot with room for some fine-tuning in certain dishes.
Came here specifically for their Dried Polluck Hangover Soup as I heard they had it & was curious to try after watching Unexpected Business 🤣
Somehow both soups that we ordered didn't have a very strong flavour, but maybe it's how real korean soups tastes coz the chefs in the kitchen look Korean. Their grilled pork was really tasty though, but the soups were a bit disappointing. We ordered a pancake as well, but forgot to take a pic.
Serves authentic Korean food! They give pretty good side dishes and free refill. My friend and I were happy just eating the side dishes. They’re that good. Ordered a beef soup, seafood pancake and a pork bulgogi. All is good except the soup. It’s too artificially sweet. The pork and pancake were very good. We were there earlier than their opening time but they opened early to let all customers in. Very nice service.
Great no frills Korean run family restaurant. Portions were generous and the included ban-chan kimchi and anchovies were delicious.
Korean fried chicken wasn't overly sweet but could be crispier.
Seafood Pa jeon (Korean pancake) could use a little more ingredients but it was quite tasty.
Crowded during dinner time, the ambience is a squeeze with tables situated close to each other.
One of the better Korean restaurants around at really affordable prices. Been here multiple times and food has never disappointed. Beware of long wait times if you don't reserve prior though.
GST + Service charge payable on top of menu prices.
Ordered 4 dishes in total, at the total came up to just below SGD80 (after service charge and GST).
1) 5/5 (SGD23) Samgyetang (Ginseng Chicken Soup) - Soup was really flavourful and chicken is soft and tender, notably boiled for really long.
2) 4/5 (SGD17) Seafood Pancake - done just nice, with the right amount of crisp and soft parts. Seafood generally consists of (frozen?) shrimps and sotong. Sufficient
3) 5/5 (SGD15) Spicy Mushroom Kalguksu - Came with lots of ingredients, including mussels, lala, mushroom and lots of onions cooked in a seafood-mushroom stew. You can even request for less spicy if you have someone who doesn't take spicy food much.
4) 3/5 (SGD12) Pork Bulgogi - it's a nice set of pork slices accompanied with lots of sauteed onions. Really flavourful, but I wouldn't say it's better than other restaurants around the area.
Overall, a good place to have a meal with friends/families. Ideally good for bigger groups since you can easily order more variety then. Do remember to make your reservations
Cozy and homely vibes with great value for money food that does not cost a bomb! Will be back again for sure.
Really loved the grilled pork belly that was super fragrant, not too tough, and has a nice firm bite to it.
The seafood pancake was generously mixed with sotong and spring onion, a delicious deep fried treat not to miss.
Only a minor concern is the payment method, they don’t accept credit cards. Cash or Grab pay and other methods are accepted though.
The seafood pancake is good. I highly recommend it. The pork kimchi soup also warms the stomach on a cool day for me (I was there on a day that rains non-stop). The mixed fried chicken is a bit hit and miss. It is also a bit too much for 2 pax. If I were to choose again, I would skip the fried chicken and go for other dishes. Restaurant can be busy during weekday lunch time, I strongly encourage to call and make reservation to avoid waiting time.
